DAY 01:WEDNESDAY: DELHI DEPART
Reportby 4:30PM at Safdarjung Railway Station for traditional welcome & check-in formalities for Week in Wonderland Train Tour.Time free for photo-shoot with traditionally attired’ Palace On Wheels ‘staff. You would be escorted to your saloon cabins by Personal Attendantfor briefing on cabin facilities. At leisure Proceed to Bar Lounge for complimentary welcome drink.Train departs at 6:30PM & Dinner is served onboard.
Day 02: THURSDAY: JAIPUR TOUR
After onboard breakfast, disembark from train by 8 a.m. at Jaipur-Gandhinagar Railway Station with Royal Welcome by Decorated elephant& traditional musicians. First visit late 19th century built colonial building of Albert Hall & photo stop at Hawa Mahal &Birla Mandir. Proceed for excursion to late 16th Century Built Amber Fort Palace located on the city outskirts & experience joy ride on colorfully decorated elephants up steep ramparts of Amer Fort. The fort was built in Red sandstone. Palace complex has marble flooring with intricate work of ivory & sandalwood. Later drive back by Jeeps to your tour bus parked downhill of the Fort .Later enjoy sumptuous lunch stop at Raj Palace Hotel.Post lunch drive back to 18th Century built old Jaipur Town ,painted pink in color & visit City Palace, Museum & Working Sun Dial ( Jantar Mantar) After shopping stop for local textiles ,-Return back to Palace on Wheels by 7 p.m. (train stationed at Durgapura Railway Station) & the train deparsts soon on arrival of passengers. Dinner is served on board . NOTE: Due to ongoingAgitations by NGO,s to stop Cruelty Against Animals- -,Guests MAY have to avail Jeep Services ,to reach Amber Fort -instead of Elephant ride .
Day 03:FRIDAY:EARLY MORNING: RANTHAMBHORE-TIGER RESERVE
Early morning 6.15 a.m. at SawaiMadhopur Railway Station. Board 15 Seater Canters for excursion to Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve- home to Tigers, Panthers, Sloth bears, Pythons, Marsh crocodiles & hundreds of deer & numerous birds.Return back to train by 09:30AM & train departs. Breakfast & lunch would be served onboard. Note: • Since you drive through dirt tracks in Tiger Forest Reserve, it is suggested to carry sun glasses/scarves to protect dirt getting into your eyes/hair. • If NOT interested to visit Tiger Reserve, on Friday early morning - you may pre-inform your saloon attendant/tour manager on Thursday Night & stay back in train.
Day 03:FRIDAYAFTERNOON:CHITTORGARH-HILL FORT
After onboard breakfast, disembark at Udaipur Railway Station by 9 a.m for traditional welcome. After photo stop at Fatehsagar Lake, visit early 18th Century built Saheliyon Ki-Bari(Garden for Royal Maidens) & have free time to shop for miniature paintings Later visit City Palace complex built over 400 years (by 76 generations of same dynasty ) since mid 16th century in fusion of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture & located atop a small hill overlooking Lake Pichola walk to the nearby located Crystal Gallery Museum ,followed by sumptuous meal in Durbar Hall of Fatehprakash Palace Hotel. Post lunch, enjoy boat ride around the world famous "Lake Palace Hotel" ,followed by high tea at Jagmandir Palace (located on an island in the lake).Return to train by 3.30 p.m. & depart.Dinner onboard the train.
DAY 04: SUNDAY MORNING :JAISALMER:OASIS DESERT
After on board breakfast, disembark at Jaisalmer Railway Station by 10 a.m. to a welcome by decorated camels. First visit Gadsisar Lake, a water conservation tank built in 1400 AD, now surrounded by temples & shrines&Later enjoy heritage walk through UNESCO World Heritage Site of Jaisalmer Fort, originally built in 12th Century & later re strengthened in 17th Century. Some local people still live inside the fort & there is a thriving bazaar.Also visit HAVELIS (former mansions of wealthy merchants) with decorated windows, archways, doorways & balconies carved out of wood Time free to shop for traditional dresses .Return to train by 1.30 p.m. for lunch & brief rest.
DAY 05: SUNDAY LATEAFTERNOON : JAISALMER: SAM SAND DUNES
At 4 p.m. proceed for excursion (appx 1 hr./one way) to Shifting Sam Sand Dunes in Thar desert for a camel joy ride & sunset photo shoot opportunity .After Hi-Tea overlooking sand dunes drive back to train (reach by 7 p.m.) for brief rest & change. At 8 p.m. proceed for off board dinner at Gorbandh Palace Hotel with Cultural Program .Return to train by10:45 PM &train departs.
DAY 06: MONDAY: JODHPUR: HEART OF MANWAR
After on board breakfast, disembark at Mandore Rly Station by 8.45 a.m to welcome by 21 piece Royal Brass Band& first visit early 16th Century built Mehrangarh Fort, atop a rocky hill which soars 125 Mts. above Old Jodhpur town (which gives indigo color hue) The Fort complex it is approached by a series of gateways set at an angle so that enemy armies could not charge,with any success. Once past the Fort gates, you have access to breath taking Palatial Apartments (Mahal), overlooking wide courtyards.Inside the fort complex is a museum having wide & impressive collection of Royal dresses & Medieval weapons. Also visit nearby located 19th century built JaswantThada, a cluster of royal cenotaphs built in white marble.Later drive to museumlocated at Umaid Bhawan Palace Hotel, displaying personal artifacts of H.H. Maharaja of Jodhpur. After lunch at Ajit Bhawan Palace Hotel & time free to shop for local handicrafts return to train by 4 p.m. & train departs. Dinner onboard
DAY 07: TUESDAY EARLY Morning: BHARATPUR: BIRD SANCTUARY
At 0615 proceed by bus from Bharatpur Railway station to Bird Sanctuary main gate & later enjoy cycle rickshaw ride in UNESCO world Heritage Site of Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary which houses more than 375 species of both local & migratory birds(from places like Sri-Lanka, Europe, Siberia, China and Tibet).Return to train by 8.45 a.m. & train departs. Breakfast on board. • If NOT interested to visit Bird sanctuary on Tuesday early morning - you may pre-inform your saloon attendant/ tour manager on Monday Night & stay back in train.
DAY 07: TUESDAY ATERNOON AGRA– CITY OF TAJ MAHAL
On arrival by 11a.m. at Agra Cantt Railway station first visit UNESCO World Heritage Site of Agra Fort, once seat of power of the mighty Mughal Empire over 150 years from mid 16th century. Proceed for sumptuous lunch at Oberoi Trident Hotel Post lunch, visit the Taj Mahal, one of seven wonders of modern world& a flawless architectural wonder built in white marble. Complimentary photo shoot by Management of Palace On Wheels at Taj Mahal. Time free to shop for marble mementoes&return to trainby 7 p.m. & train departs Dinner on board .
DAY 07: WEDNESDAY Morning :NEW DELHI RETURN
Train returns toDelhi Safdarjung Railway Station early morning by appx. 5.30 a.m. Check-out after on board breakfast by 7,15 a.m.

Terms & Conditions Palace On Wheels Booking Procedure :
• *The Palace On Wheels is operated & managed by RTDC( Tourism Dept. of Rajasthan Govt.)
• * Advice depart dates with number of persons & cabins required
• * We require Name/sex/nationality of all the passengers to process booking.
• * In case of children< 12 years we also require date of bith.
• * Booking will be confirmed on receipt of MINIMUM 25% of ticket value as advance deposit.
• * Balance payment must reach us before 61 days before tour depart
• * Booking request made< 61 days prior to tour depart,will be confirmed on receipt of ONE Time full payment.
• * For foriegn passport holder, we require Passport copies of all passengers to issue travel documents.
• * Indian Nationals can forward copy of ANYONE of Indian residence proof (viz Passport; Driving license; Adhaar Card)
• * Saloon/cabin will be allocated on date of depart with boarding cards.
• * Advice arrival/depart details in New Delhi & interest to book Hotels through us.
Cancellation Rules-Palace On Wheels :
• Tourism Dept of Rajasthan State Govt. (RTDC) is train tour operator & liability of Royal Indian Trains is limited to that of booking agent only.
• Cancellation requests must be made in writing & acknowledged by us.
• There will be MINIMUM levy of 10% cancellation fee on gross train ticket value -if informed more than 92 days before train tour depart.
• There will be MINIMUM levy of 20% cancellation fee on gross train ticket value -if informed between 91 days to 32 days prior to train tour depart.
• There will be Full 100% cancellation fee levied on gross train ticket value -if informed less than 32 days prior to train tour depart.
• Request for change in travel date & passenger names is governed by cancellation rules.
• Cancellation rules will apply -In case payment OR documents requested are not received as per booking terms & conditions.
• In special case-where travel date of same passengers needs to be postponed to future specific dates, Minimum US$ 100 per person will be charged & subject to approval by RTDC Authorities.
• Request for refund of advance/full payment, due to death Or serious illness of passenger will be at sole discretion of RTDC Authorities.
• In case of scheduled train tour depart, being cancelled by Train tour operator (RTDC) due to technical reasons or lack of minimum 17 passenger booking, guest will be inform atleast one week before train depart. Full advance received by Royal Indian Trains will be refunded (without any cancelation fee), BUT Royal Indian Trains is not liable to compensate any finacial loss and indian visa or mental trauma caused.
• All foreign passport holders require valid indian Visa before boarding flight to india.
• Request for refund due to refusal of Indian Visa will not be entertain Or Overseas passenger landing in India without proper travel documents-will be governed by cancellation rules.
• All foreign passport holders require Prior Visa to enter India and made with no further liability towards loss suffered by Passenger towards cancellation of Domestic/International air tickets; Hotel Booking & Indian visa.
• No refund will be made in case of no-show Or self-curtailment of journey
• Un-willingness to follow train tour as per schedule,will be non-refundable.
• At times, due to local logistics if Train tour Manager is forced to cancel certain scheduled sightseeing tours Or activities, at short notice - No refund will be made to passenger to compensate for this.
• Request for train tour cancellation due to increase of taxes/tariff by RTDC authorities will be governed by cancellation rules.
• Where passenger makes request for refund due to self cancellation, it will be governed as per foreign exchange rules of RBI Bank and the process may take 4 to 6 weeks after documentention as per RBI guidlines is received.
• Royal Indian Trains reserves the right to charge MINIMUM US$ 100 per person as service charge & refund will be made as per INR Rupees amount received.
IMPORTANT :
• Overseas guests are requests to pre-purchase Tour Insurance from country of origin of travel
• From 3rd week of December to 2nd week of January-North India experiences heavy fog conditions & it is suggested to passengers to arrive at least one day earlier in New Delhi during that period.
• Maximum liability of Royal Indian trains is limited to that of booking agent only.
• Liability of Principal train Tour Operator is limited to as defined in Indian Railways Act.
• Disputes (if any) are subject to jurisdiction of courts of New Delhi(India) only.
NOTE:
1. The train tour manager reserves the rights to amend the program to suit local logistics.
2. Your sightseeing & Excursion are arranged in Volvo AC Buses with English speaking guide (except in Ranthambore Jungle-by Forest Dept 15 Seater Canters).
3. Outdoor Meals venues may change from time to time.
4. In JAIPUR -train goes to yard for washing & electricity switched off & you cannot stay back on the train
5. In case you do not wish to proceed sightseeing tour,in ANY OTHER TOWN ,please pre-inform your saloon attendant at least One Day in advance
